USA Basketball to Play South Sudan and Germany in London
USA Mens National Team to Face South Sudan and Germany at The O2 in July 2024
The USA Mens National Team will play South Sudan and Germany at The O2 on Saturday 20 and Monday 22 July 2024 respectively. The games will be part of the 2024 USA Basketball Showcase and will be the first time that the USA Mens National Team has played in London since 2012.
Tickets for the games will go on sale to the general public on Friday 24 November 2023.
The USA Mens National Team is the most successful basketball team in the world, having won 15 gold medals at the Olympic Games and five gold medals at the FIBA World Cup. The team is currently ranked number one in the FIBA World Ranking.
South Sudan is a relatively new basketball nation, having only gained independence in 2011. However, the country has made rapid progress in recent years and is now ranked 62nd in the FIBA World Ranking.
Germany is a traditional basketball powerhouse and is currently ranked 11th in the FIBA World Ranking. The team has won the European Championship three times and has finished runner-up at the FIBA World Cup twice.
The games between the USA, South Sudan, and Germany are sure to be exciting and competitive. The USA will be looking to continue its dominance of international basketball, while South Sudan and Germany will be hoping to pull off an upset.
