House Panel Investigation
A Republican Party-led US House of Representatives panel has invited Kimberly A Cheatle, Director of the Secret Service, to appear on July 22 to testify about the agency's role in the shooting.
Secret Service Mission
The Secret Service is a federal law-enforcement agency within the United States Department of Homeland Security tasked with the criminal and protective investigations of the president, the vice president, their families, the White House, the vice president's residence, visiting foreign dignitaries, and other high-profile individuals.
