The Port Neches-Groves Indians football team is a powerhouse in Texas high school football. With four state championships, eight state finalist appearances, and 28 district championships, the Indians have a legacy of excellence that is unmatched in the state.

The Indians' first state championship came in 1963, and they have since added titles in 1971, 2015, and 2019. They have also finished as state runners-up eight times, most recently in 2021. In addition to their state success, the Indians have won 28 district championships, making them one of the most dominant teams in Texas high school football history.

The program has been led by some of the most successful coaches in Texas high school football history, including Bum Phillips, Tom Landry, and Bill Yeoman.
