Early Life and Career

Olivier Jonathan Giroud was born in Chambéry, France, on September 30, 1986. He spent his youth in the nearby village of Froges. Giroud's football journey began in local clubs before he joined the professional club Grenoble Foot 38 in 2005.

Rise to Stardom

Giroud quickly established himself as a prolific goalscorer, and in 2010 he moved to Montpellier HSC. He helped Montpellier win their first Ligue 1 title in 2012, earning him a call-up to the French national team.

International Success

Giroud made his international debut in 2011 and has since become a key player for France. He was part of the squad that won the World Cup in 2018, scoring four goals in the tournament. Giroud is now France's second-highest all-time goalscorer.

Club Career

After Montpellier, Giroud joined Arsenal in 2012. He spent five seasons with the Gunners, winning the FA Cup three times. In 2018, he moved to Chelsea, where he won the Europa League and FA Cup before leaving for AC Milan in 2021.
