Celtics' Porzingis Suffers Leg Injury in Game 4 Win

Derrick White Shines with Career-High 38 Points

Injury Overshadows Celtics' Victory

Boston, MA - An injury to Kristaps Porzingis put a damper on the Boston Celtics' Game 4 win over the Miami Heat on Monday night. The 7-foot-3 big man suffered a non-contact leg injury in the third quarter and was forced to leave the game.

Porzingis had been playing well in the playoffs, averaging 15.3 points and 9.0 rebounds per game. His absence will be a major blow to the Celtics, who are already without All-Star forward Jayson Tatum due to a wrist injury.

Derrick White stepped up in a big way for the Celtics in Porzingis' absence, scoring a playoff career-high 38 points. The 28-year-old guard hit 14-of-24 shots from the field, including 6-of-11 from three-point range.

Despite White's heroics, the Celtics will be hoping that Porzingis' injury is not serious. The team is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Tuesday to determine the extent of the damage.
